September 1, 2006, Newsletter Issue #13: Summer Inspired Wedding Candles

Tip of the Week

If you’re wedding is going to take place in the heat of the summer, and especially if it’s an outside wedding, keep the theme going with your wedding candles. Nothing says summer like flip flops and you’re guests will be talking for years about your mini flip flop wedding candles. Perfect for tropical themed weddings, tiny colorful candles in the shape of flip flops are actually floating candles that can be used as decoration as well. Place some of these floating candles in glass bowls filled with water and use as centerpieces at the wedding. Then, when it’s time to depart, gift your guests with a pair of their own flip flop wedding candles to take home. Keeping with the beach theme, try using votive candles placed in sea shelled encrusted candle holders. These wedding candles would look great placed on tables with a tag that has your wedding information and also lets guests know they can take the beach candles home. For a spring or summer wedding, give your guests wedding candles made from tiny, aluminum watering cans with votive candles inside. You can have your candles in the colors of your wedding and decorate the watering cans with tiny ribbons and name tags with the bride and groom’s names.
